By the Sea

I spent last weekend in sunny Brighton for the first time. My friends and I loved walking down the Lanes, on the pebble beaches and along the famous pier. It was a reminder of the seaside inspiration for one of my latest cards ‘By the Sea’ which is available in my Shop.

Spring is here

Hello and welcome! The sun has come out of hiding and along with it, so has my summer bunting! Kate Francis Illustration had its first craft fair of the year last month in the quaint Lincolnshire village of Dunston. Armed with my new range of greeting cards and some best-sellers, I had a fantastic day out selling my wares and getting my name out there. Thanks to everyone that came to say hello!

Studio

I spend most of my time in my beautiful studio in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside surrounded by inspiring images on my walls and views out of my windows.

While I spend most of my time on new designs for cards and prints, I also like to take a break from my work to create acrylic paintings on canvas or textile designs on recycled fabric, often with my dogs Gypsy and Charlie running around my feet.

I have had one open day since my studio opened last autumn and plan to hold more this summer. This is a chance for people to have a look around, enjoy the picturesque setting and a glass of wine, whilst hopefully buying my designs!
